VANCOUVER, B.C., November 23, 2017—Laurie Schultz, the CEO of ACL, was today recognized by Women’s Executive Network (WXN) as one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women for the second year in a row. Laurie’s Vancouver-based software company, ACL, specializes in governance, risk management, and compliance solutions.

Canada’s Most Powerful Women started in 2003 to celebrate females who have overcome obstacles and used their voices to create a path forward for the next generation of leaders. The awards also recognize the networks and organizations that champion the advancement of women.

“It’s important to pave the way for the future generations of women leaders through mentorship and allow them to reach their goals,” said Laurie Schultz. “Organizations like the Women’s Executive Network help create a future for female leaders that otherwise would not have existed through their important work. I, for one, will continue working in that spirit to ensure that we prepare our daughters to lead and show them that anything can be achieved with the right mindset and network of support.”

Having 25 years of experience in software and technology, Laurie Schultz has been the key driver in ACL’s strategic growth and category disruption by focusing their approach on culture and cutting-edge product offerings. Under her leadership, the company has won numerous awards, this year securing Canada’s Top 100 Employers, and previously winning BC’s Top Employers and Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers competitions.

The WXN Awards Gala will celebrate the 2017 award winners from public, private and non-profit sectors across nine categories including; BMO Arts & Communications Award, RBC Champions Award, Accenture Corporate Directors Award, Corporate Executives Award, Entrepreneurs Award, TELUS Future Leaders, Inclusion Vanguard Award, KPMG Professionals Award, PwC Public Sector Leaders Award and CIBC Trailblazers & Trendsetters Award.

Arlene Dickinson, an alumna of the Top 100, will emcee the gala on November 23rd, 2017 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Ontario. The full list of WXN’s 2017 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winners can be found here.
