Inc. magazine today revealed that Diligent Corporation has placed No. 1956 on its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. This is the third year in a row that Diligent has placed on the list, up 613 spots from its 2019 ranking of 2569 - and up 1018 spots from its 2018 ranking of 2974.
'With the launch of modern governance, Diligent introduced an entirely new category to the market this past year,' said Brian Stafford, the CEO of Diligent. 'Our continued rise on the Inc. 5000 list proves the importance of our mission to empower leaders with the technology, insights and processes their organizations need to thrive and endure in today's fast-paced environment.'
With the recent announcement of an increased investment from Clearlake Capital Group, L.P., and a new investment from funds managed by Blackstone Tactical Opportunities (NYSE:BX), Diligent's strategic investments are contributing to its significant growth.
Since Insight Partners, Diligent's largest investor, took the company private in February 2016, Diligent has scaled from 4,400 clients to more than 19,000 and transformed its product portfolio into an integrated suite of SaaS solutions that facilitates secure collaboration, communication and meeting management for boards, committees, and leadership teams.
'Through driving accountability and transparency, Diligent is equipping leaders to turn effective governance into a competitive advantage, while addressing stakeholder and shareholder priorities and satisfying security and compliance requirements,' Stafford continued.
The 2020 Inc. 5000 shows staggering growth compared with previous years - achieving a three-year average growth of over 500 percent with a median rate of 165 percent, and accounting for over 1 million jobs in that same period.
